In the last three years, Nicole has obtained almost ten million dollars in federal, state, and local financing founded more than 32 grassroots/community-based groups, and aided in the formation of more than 50 housing and economic development programs, including emergency food assistance, education and employment, job training, counseling, recreational, housing and rehab, elderly, healthcare, crisis intervention, and family development programs.
Ms. Carter sits on the advisory boards of several local organizations and is the primary instructor for the well-attended regional community-training workshops: “Nonprofits and Federal Funds”.

Carter Consulting received more than $4 million in grants and contracts in 2019. This year’s achievements included the establishment of Tennessee’s first minority-owned hemp farm and the purchase of three rental properties. Carter Consulting also paid $375,000 cash for a $500,000 apartment building. This was a collaborative endeavor that required critical thinking, strategic planning, and interpersonal interactions.
