In 2006, Adrian Crouch and Aaron Maher founded Procept.
Adrian and Aaron worked together at Ericsson in the engineering and marketing departments, before founding Procept.
With a shared passion for product development, and a wealth of experience in various technical roles at Ericsson, they both identified that opportunities in this field in Australia were basically non-existent. As Ericsson moved away from product development, they had a decision to make.
They had to choose between going abroad for opportunities (somewhere chilly like Sweden!) or starting their own business in Australia. They decided on the latter.
Although they both intended to create their own products when they first started Procept, quickly realized that their bespoke product development services were in high demand in Australian market, which was in desperate need of specialized technology solutions.
Over the last 16 years, their team has been creating custom developed products and technology solutions to successfully address their clients’ very specific business or market needs.
Adrian has played a variety of key roles throughout the history of Procept, from being directly involved in the delivery of client projects, driving the company’s expansion into new countries, and overseeing the technology team. Adrian now oversees the company’s overall technological direction as CTO.
Adrian spends a lot of his time as CTO overseeing and expanding the intellectual property created and used by the company. In addition, he oversees the selection of cutting-edge technologies that will be most beneficial to the client’s businesses in the future, and guides their project-specific technical design selections.
